Owies selection, Lot 19 Rogan Josh R153, seems like the boys are right on target. This fella not only portrays visual excellence, his pedigree maternally powerful. Dam Mandy K005 has reared 6 and still very active, being a Mandy expect Longevity to be a feature. R153 scores 8 for Igenity Marbling suggest he’s a trait improver. Don’t miss R153 plus his 16 M028 mates at the Dulverton Sale Bull display day 29/06/22

Suits our Feed efficiency requirement intake a function of ADG Score 7 and RFI a Score 6, ideal Marbling Tenderness scores 7. Fiona is much more than a “Toiler” in the office, along with husband Royce she runs 300 cows in the Glen Elgin precinct. Fiona’s selection is the first born of our first season Sire in Dunoon P1039, a Pathfinder General K7 son from Dunoon Princess G141 (Te Mania Africa A217). Q011 is out of the first calf heifer, a very stylish D. Dell Q138 by Wattle Top Franklin K252. Q011’s maternal grand dam D. Dell K034 is still active and has reared six. Q011 is structurally very correct Grades 7, he scores a 9 for marbling and will improve that trait. Fiona taken by this fellas length, muscling, mobility, and very much an outcross to their previous purchases. Don’t miss him at the Sale Bull Display Day 29/06/2022

Sal is a keen competitor in our Team Dulverton competitions and it goes without saying her selection will be very close to the mark. He is Lot 48 D. Rain Lover R018 by the super homebred sire New Approach N208. I guess Sal had to select her pick from the Annie family, R018 has Annie G037, the best since Annie G17 Champion Angus Cow Sydney RAS 1992, in his paternal pedigree. Note this fella Igenity scores 8 Marbling; 9 Tenderness; suggest improves Eating Quality; 8 Carcass weight: 6 Yearling Weight, suggest improves Beef Yield; 6 for RFI & 6 for ADG suggest has better than average Feed Efficiency. He’s the sort we need more of eh? Note the catalogue team must have liked him too they have positioned him in the Pen next to the Registration Tent and Cafe. Don’t miss Rain Lover R018 at the Bull Display Day 29/06/2022. Jason Strong MD MLA freshly returned from the UK the Key Speaker

Not often one has the opportunity of having the Managing Director of a company such as MLA able to present re the Opportunities For Beef Globally and then go for a wander amongst the bulls with the attendees of The Dulverton Sale Bull Display Day and nominate his “Pick of the Draft”. That’s what Jason Strong was able to do and he reckons he had to draw upon all the experience he gained at The University of Illinois as a member of their Beef Cattle Live Judging Team.
Jason’s selection is D. Ricochet R005 Lot 26, who scores our equal high 7 for Stayability, not that big a surprise given his maternal Grandam is the D. Uptake U91 daughter D. Xtol C156 who reared 11 calves, U91 was still serving cows in the paddock aged 12. R005’s sire Dunoon Hank N668 has ranked No.1 for Stayability for sires represented in the Draft.
Thanks for your contribution Jason, we’re all anxiously awaiting how R005 sells. Don’t miss The Dulverton Sale 25/07/2022.

I guess it was reasonably obvious that my selection would be D. Rogan Josh R219 Lot 20, after all I have already shown my hand by Profiling this fella on the website. His athleticism is what excited me the most about him while I pencilled the notes for each bull in the catalogue. Then the more one looks into him the more excited one becomes. Phenotype? Well to begin with he grades 7, he is oh so mobile, the pelvis is spot on and the skin and hair second to none. Performance? Igenity says right on Target 🎯 for CED, CEM, All Three Growth Traits plus Tenderness, Marbling & Muscling. Pedigree? Well M028’s Young Sire Benchmark Performance undeniable, his dam H21 still active and has reared 8; Maternal grand dam reared 12 and was by Re-Build R112 who was still serving naturally aged 12.
> Yep this fella is ELITE a) he looks the part b) his performance second to none c) his pedigree is unquestionably
When quizzed as to why he made S005 his selection Dick was very “matter of fact” with his reply, “I don’t Class many as Grade 8’s this bloke is the Dulverton Standout”. That’s correct the last Bull Dick graded an 8 at Dulverton was New Approach N208 represented in the Sale by 16 sons. Dick then added after I structurally scored him an 8, I checked his Breedplan and Igenity Beef Profile Data and was really happy to see that both sets of genetic evaluation data place him well ahead of The Pack.
> “Might I add, that having investigated Marble Score data by comparing the phenotypic observations for carcass recorded marble scores against the Igenity Beef Profile Genetic Predictions, in both the USA and Australia, I’m confident that S005’s Score 9 for Marbling does suggest he is a Genetic Marbling Improver. Further, I do suggest that should producers wish to improve genetic marbling they would be advised to seek out Igenity Beef Profile Marble Scores of 8, 9 & 10”.
